The renovation of the Explore and Grow Christian Learning Center at Kentwood Community Church transformed a once city-themed environment into a warm, nature-inspired space that sparks curiosity and imagination.

The new design centers around a nature-focused concept, creating a nurturing atmosphere where children can explore, play, and learn. The flooring pattern—custom designed to mimic the branches of a sprawling tree—anchors the space both visually and thematically, connecting to a vibrant student-designed mural that brings the walls to life.

Balancing durability and creativity was essential. Materials were carefully selected to withstand the daily energy of young learners while maintaining a sense of wonder and playfulness. The result is a space that feels imaginative and engaging, yet grounded and practical—a thoughtful environment that encourages growth, discovery, and joy.
