The Grand Rapids Rise Team Offices and Suite project establishes a welcoming, high-performing home base for the city’s first professional sports team. Designed in collaboration with Spark43, the space is seamlessly connected to the team’s practice courts, supporting both the physical and strategic dimensions of athletic performance.

The design emphasizes comfort, functionality, and cohesion, providing an environment where players and staff can focus, connect, and recharge. Thoughtfully planned meeting areas foster strategy and collaboration, while the lounge spaces offer athletes a calm retreat before and after training. Every detail—from durable, performance-ready materials to soft, tactile finishes—was selected to balance resilience with warmth.

A color palette rooted in the Rise’s team identity infuses subtle energy throughout the space, combining vibrant team tones with natural, soothing neutrals. The result is an environment that feels grounded, authentic, and distinctly “Rise”: a reflection of the team’s collective strength, unity, and drive.

Together, we created a center for team culture—a place where preparation, reflection, and camaraderie intersect to support excellence both on and off the court.
